Thanks for using Decilio or visiting one of our websites. This policy explains the what, how, and why of the information we collect when you use our platform, register for our services, visit one of our websites and subscribe to one of our mailing lists. This Privacy policy agreement also explains the specific ways we use and disclose that information.

In short, we promise we will treat your information with respect and comply with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Definitions

When we say “Decilio”, “we”, “us” or “our”, we refer to Decilio, a business project owned by the sole proprietorship of Pierre Gabioud. When we say “Visitor(s)”, we refer to a person or entity who visits one of our Websites. We use “Subscriber(s)” to indicate a person or an entity who subscribed to at least one of our distribution lists, that is, an email marketing list or one of our newsletters. We use “User(s)” to mention a person or an entity who registers to and uses Decilio’s online services.

Our websites include decilio.ch and decil.io and are referred to as the “Sites”. Decilio’s online services are referred to as the “Service”.

Information We Collect

(a) Information Collection: We collect personally identifiable information about you, such as your full name, phone number, email address, or similar information, when you register to our service or subscribe to one of our mailing lists. We may send marketing emails via our mailing list if you have subscribed and given your consent. If you no longer wish to receive our emails, you can unsubscribe at any time. When you visit our websites, we may receive certain information about you as described below in the “Tracking Technologies” section.

(b) Tracking Technologies: We do not use any tracking technologies on our website and Service because we believe that everyone should wander around without having someone looking over one’s shoulder. We do however log errors, bugs and technical issues based on your actions on our Service and websites to consistently improve and ensure the availability of our Service.

(c) Payment service providers: In the event of a purchase, we ask for additional data, such as payment details, credit card information, etc. so that we can execute your order. How We Use Your Information

(a) We use the information that we collect to operate and maintain our Sites and Services and to respond to your questions and concerns.

b) If you have given your consent, we use the information that we collect to send you marketing communications in our subscriber lists. If you no longer wish to receive our emails, you can unsubscribe at any time.

How We Share Your Information

(a) Personally Identifiable Information: Decilio will not rent or sell your personally identifiable information to others. We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of Decilio (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers).

(b) Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We may share non-personally identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) with interested third parties to help them understand the usage patterns of our Sites.

(c) Instances Where We Are Required To Share Your Information: Decilio will disclose your information where required to do so by law, if subject to subpoena or other legal proceeding or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement; (b) to enforce our Terms of Service or to protect the security or integrity of our Service; and/or (c) to exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Decilio, our users or others.

(d) What Happens In The Event Of A Change Of Control: We may buy or sell/divest/transfer the company (including any shares in the company), or any combination of its products, services, assets and/or businesses. Your information such as customer names and email addresses, and other User information related to Decilio services may be among the items sold or otherwise transferred in these types of transactions. We may also sell, assign or otherwise transfer such information in the course of corporate divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, dissolutions, reorganisations, liquidations, similar transactions or proceedings involving all or a portion of the company. Any change in ownership or uses of your personal information will be notified via email and/or notice on our Sites.

(e) Testimonials: We might display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our Sites, as well as any other endorsements. With your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name, company name, pictures or company logos. Storage and Processing

(a) Your information and collected through our Services is exclusively stored and processed in Switzerland. We use the data center Exoscale (Boulevard de Grancy 19A, 1006 Lausanne, Switzerland) in accordance with their Privacy Policy and terms. (b) The information you share when subscribing to one of our mailing lists is stored on and transferred to MailChimp platform (T/A The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA) for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and terms.

(c) Decilio may transfer information that we collect about you and your organisation, including personal information, to affiliated entities, or to other third parties across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, please note that we will not transfer information, including personal data, to a country outside of the European Union or European Economic Area.

How We Protect Your Information

(a) Decilio is concerned with protecting your privacy and data, but cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit through our Services and Sites or guarantee that your information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our industry standard physical, technical or managerial safeguards. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

(b) However, we make every effort to protect our databases and your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or forgery by using industry standard technologies, best practices and trustworthy hosting providers.

Compromise of Personal Information

(a) In the event that personal information is compromised as a breach of security, Decilio will promptly notify our customers in compliance with applicable law.

Your Choices About Your Information

(a) Our Users, Visitors and Subscribers can review, correct, update or delete inaccuracies to the information transmitted to Decilio by contacting us at hello@decilio.app. We will acknowledge your request within seventy-two (72) hours and handle it promptly.

(b) Data protection law gives you a range of rights in connection with our processing of your personal data. In this regard, you have the right to request that we rectify or delete the personal data or restrict the processing of your personal data, if you think they are inaccurate. Furthermore, you have the right to object against the processing based on our legitimate interests as a legal basis. We are required to assess and act on your request.

(c) Finally, you also have the right to data portability if it should become relevant. You have a right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Retention Policy

(a) If you are a user, we will retain your information for as long as you registered to and using our Service. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
